The saw roof is created by repeating rack or asymmetrical saddle roofs. Previously, the saw or gray roof was mainly used in factory halls , workshops where parts of the vertical roof served as skylights. Today, the roofs of the halls are built for simplicity without any skylights and only artificial lighting is used.
