The agricultural land fund consists of agricultural land, arable land, hop fields, vineyards, gardens, as well as orchards, meadows or pastures, land that is not temporarily cultivated, ponds with fish farming, water poultry non-agricultural land that is important for agricultural production such as field roads, land with equipment important for field irrigation, water reservoirs, drainage ditches, protective terraces, etc.

The protection of the agricultural land fund is based on the binding nature of its use for agricultural purposes, its protection in spatial planning, the design of mining sites, construction and mining or industrial activities. The protection of the agricultural land fund is entrusted to municipal authorities, offices with extended powers, regional authorities and the Ministry of the Environment. National parks protect the administration of the relevant national park.
