Cartography has many definitions, but cartography is generally regarded as a scientific, technical and artistic field that deals with map processing. It can be both maps of the Earth's surface and cosmic bodies, or phenomena that happen to them. Cartography is definitely not a new science, on the contrary. Cartography was commonly used in ancient times, most commonly in Phoenician or Chinese seafarers.
